BRG is pleased to offer this fun and eclectic assortment of art, sculpture, art glass, jewelry and more in our winter discovery auction. Many of the art and pottery lots hail from the lifetime collection of Barbara and Bob Allen, whose shared passion for art which began in the 1960s included ceramics, sculpture, and photography.
Perhaps the highlight of this entire auction is a pair of Russian gilt silver candlesticks from the collection of Doris Duke (Christie's provenance). Other notable items include an extensive art collection from a Florida collector, fine jewelry from a Cary home, and a variety of antiques and contemporary furniture pieces hailing from a lovely Raleigh home.
Rounding out this sale are works of art including a Jim Cox watercolor and other artists such as Frances Alvarino Norwood, Chris Hawthorne, Elaine Reed, Danny Perkins, David Goldhagen, Darrell Rhudy, and Tarkay. Jewelry designers David Yurman, Jules Jorgensen, and Egine Lucien Galli are represented in a variety of pretty jewelry lots. A nice assortment of fine and art crystal from makers like Baccarat, Lalique, Waterford, and Tiffany are also on the block. Happy bidding!
