Black Rock Galleries is pleased to offer this true antiquarian's lifetime assemblage of antiquities, relics, and objects purchased by a Derby, CT physician from 19th century “Grand Tour” and early 20th century private collections. These relics and artifacts were kept for many decades in the physician's Victorian home office in his own private collection. The antiquities being offered include mostly Roman household items (pottery, glass, small hand tools, etc), but also includes some prehistoric, Greek, Egyptian, and ancient Near East artifacts, all excavated prior to the passage of the 1970’s UNESCO laws.
We invite you to inspect these antiquities during our preview hours. Please call our office with questions on any items offered in this auction.
