Item Description
Wonderful antique drop leaf, flip top games table. With two hinged leaves to extend the table at either end are supported with folding wooden brackets which are revealed once the leaves are lifted.
On the table top there are two hinged board on the table top that flip open to reveal a chess board on one side and a backgammon board on the other. With brass handled faux drawer for appearance, the games table is stabliized on a wonderfully intricate set of turned support beams that criss cross underneath the table and a wonderfully turned central cross stretcher issuing from each of the carved supports. The two support legs are set with four brass casters for easy mobility around the room.

Condition: The brass "faux drawer" knobs are loose and could be more firmly affixed if so desired. There is wear to the table top with numerous surface scratches, water ring marks and a split to the plank running between the flip top games tables. Re-finishing the top would help revive this wonderful games table. There is other wear and surface roughage throughout but overall the table is in good working order.
