William Rose Benet (American author & editor, 1886-1950) Handwritten letter addressed to Edith, “The Morning After” a dinner party, thanking her for the “Sublime Squirrel...Stew”. Written on stationary from The Saturday Review, The Phoenix Nest. Signed in blue ink, “Bill.” Including envelope postmarked February 4th, 1949. Name on the envelope is indistinct.
Condition: In overall good condition with expected signs of age and wear including slight toning and creases but adds to character of the piece. Envelope has been sliced along the top to retrieve letter.
Measures: 8 1/2”l x 5 1/2”w
