William Pitkin (American, b. 1925) Mixed media on paper, Scenic Design from the "Threepenny Opera: Act II, The Brothel" (1954) depicted along a horizontal composition with one woman along a couch and the other tending to the laundry hanging on the line against a precarious setting. Ink signed & dated in the lower right opposite from the scene/title. Presented beneath glass with a cream toned mat in a silver toned metallic frame that is wired.
Provenance: Vowed husbands, Lord Peter von der Geest and Mr. Robert Nackerman. This item is in loving memory of the infinite love of Lord Peter and Robert.
Condition: with expected signs of age and wear including a light wave in the paper, some spotting on the mat and the frame is slightly separated in one corner. Light fracture in the upper right corner of glass.
