Patricia Barton is an artist whom is termed as a naive or folk style artist. The work which presents as two dimensional lacking depth which is not a detractor. Primitive, Folk or Naive artists are very much in vogue and this work is quite fantastic in its level of detail.
The print can be divided into two halves with an arched landscape dividing the landscape above with the action below.
A lovely village landscape with a church and spire in the center under a band of polychrome hues on puffs as if they are fireworks. Below is a fantastic scene with trees and 7 ladders with figures up at the top of the ladders picking fruit with a slew of figures on the ground below with interspersed wild flowers.
Pencil signed and numbered '117 x 250' underneath the print.
Presented matted and within a wooden frame and glazed.

Frame: 30 5/8"H x 24 1/2"W
Condition: Good, the colorful hues have likely faded somewhat but the print presents fantastically well. A water mark on the reverse but does not affect the print itself which is wall and house ready.
