Utagawa Hiroshige (Japanese, 1787-1858) "Okazaki" woodblock print depicting Yahagi Bridge. The warm orange tones of the bridge beautifully contrast the vivid blue of the water, subtly echoed at the top of the sky. Figures ridge boats on the water and are seen along the bridge, scaled by the buildings and mountains in the background. Signature upper left. Displayed behind glass with a beige mat in a simple black frame.
Condition: Displays well with expected wear commensurate with age, including toning and minor piercings to the paper along the right edge. Fading and discoloration to mat. Scattered finish wear and scuffs to frame, with minor separation to a mitered joint upper right corner.
