Item Description
A set of two fabulously depicted, near life sized portraits of warrior gods including Weituo and Zhao Gongming.
One depicts the Boddhisatva known as Weituo. Weituo is traditionally known to protect the teachings of Buddhism. A guardian figure whom is the Bodhisattva known to be the great Dharma Protector in Buddhism.
Weituo is depicted in full military armor regalia with flames seen wrapping around him. In this image he is depicted wearing a helmet, with hands clenched.
Together with a darker skinned Zhao Gongming, whom himself is widely known as a leader of the Five Wealth Gods, particularly renowned as the "Military God of Wealth." Zhao Gongming is more aligned with Taoism and is depicted looking fierce with a short beard and a long spear, while wearing full military regalia and armor with flames also surrounding his aura.
Both are presented with a gilt finished liner with faux bois mat in gilt and parcel ebonized frames and glazed.

Condition
Slight creases and loss of color in spots but overall the pair present very well together.
