Grafenthal horse and carriage circa 1850, featuring a lady in blue dress holding a bouquet of flowers, sitting in the carriage while her gentleman companion opens the carriage door. The scene tops a white ovular base decorated with leaves and gilt accents. Manufacturer's mark on bottom.
Volkstedt, Muller & Co. Dresden (mid 20th century) dancing cavalier and lady, featuring a lady in a blue bodice over a white floral skirt, dancing alongside a gentleman in a red coat and floral shirt. The duo dances on an ovular base painted with a natural grassy ground with purple and blue flowers, decorated by a gilt border on the edge. Manufacturer's mark on the grass behind the duo.
An unmarked painted porcelain figure of a woman in a knee-length green dress and pink cape pushing a large white wheelbarrow, highly decorated by flowers and cherubs, led by flower-shaped wheels. The figure has been made into a lamp, with a bulb emerging from the interior of the wheelbarrow. The piece stands on an intricately carved gilt painted pedestal.
Condition: All pieces display well in vintage condition. The Volkstedt duo has evidence of past repair on the lady's shoulder and wrist. Discoloration to the porcelain of the unmarked lamp, with discoloration and finish wear to the gilt base, especially where the porcelain piece makes contact. Wiring for the lamp not tested. Minor discoloration and light scattered pitting on the Grafentahl piece.
