About the Artist:
Tom McCobb was an American artist well-known through Maine and New England for watercolor painting. He studied at the Rhode Island School of Design and the National Academy of Design. He taught watercolor at the Round Top Center for the Arts and was a guest lecturer at Amherst College.

"My painting has been described as “enhanced representation.” I describe it as intuitive, high contrast and colorful, with only necessary details. I have an aversion to copied photographs – they result in superficial paintings. Above all, I love to paint. It’s a never ending adventure."
