This wonderful print which was published by Ascombe Fine Arts, Ashcombe Tower, Dawlish, Devon EX7 0PY, England was printed as part of the series 'The Paintings of The America's Cup', painted by Tim Thompson.
This particular work depicts a scene of ENDEAVOR and RAINBOW, two sailboats racing for the prestigious America's Cup. Stating '1934 Rainbow (New York Yacht Club0 defeats Endeavor (Royal Yacht Squadron) / Sherman Hoyt wearing his famous red pants, shouts 'Luff! Luff!, for God's sake Luff! to Vanderbilt as Sopwith tries to stop Rainbos passing. But Vanterbilt carried straight on, and because Sopwith was slow hoisting his protest flag, he was allowed to sail away with the vital fourth race.
With a pencil signrature unerneath the print.
Presented on a mat and in a gilt frame and glazed for protection.

Condition: There is light wear to the frame with minor chips and nics to the finish. Overall does depict some age related coloring but presents very well and would make an exceptional gift for the boating fan in your life!
