Item Description
"The Eagle" bronze sculpture signed Jules Moigniez, extremely heavy. An astonishing, recasted bronze statue that's as heavy as it is impressive (use caution when lifting). The highly detailed eagle clenches tightly to to a large tree limb that's filled with terrific green patination spotting. Signed "J. Moigniez" at lower front portion of bronze. Presented on an ornately crafted metal base.
Dimensions: 8 1/2" W (width of circular base) x 32" H x 8 1/2" D (depth of base)

Condition: There are a few noticeable nicks in bronze, particularly at some of the sharper points that reveal tiny copper spots. The talons of the eagle appear to have lost some of their sharpness over time. Some light dust accumulation at the edges and corners of sculpture. While very sturdy, caution is needed when moving this sculpture (there's more weight up top than you'd expect). Weighs well over 50 lbs. A very striking piece of bronzework with high presentation quality.
