A superb Crown Naples Capodimonte marked "Made In France" underfoot. The footed vase stands on a squared base with gilt scroll motif with a circular foot with polychrome and gilt finish. Above the pedestal can be seen with moulded and polychrome finished putti and Satyrs in a naturalistic landscape.
The egg form vessel with moulded and polychrome finished lappet motif to the underfoot, with an mythologically themed central continuous reserve depicting moulded and polychrome finished naturalistic decoration with figures in a body of water, along with winged putti on horseback. A trim of moulded and gilt finished embossed decoration in relief forms the upper trim of the reserve with a band of lappet and floral swag motif moulded in relief.
The vase is flanked by two fabulous ram mask handles with intricately detailed finish. The vase has a domed lid with foliate and gilt finished scrolling decoration with bud form finial.
Condition: Slightly loose on its foot which is a separate section affixed with hardware underfoot. There is wear to the polychromatic finish, best evidenced around the trim edges but despite wear commensurate with some age and handling the vase presents superbly.
