This English Georgian style silver plated and cut glass ink stand has two square form inkwells with silver plated removable tops. The two cut glass inkwells flank a central silver plated box with removable cover meant for pen nibs. The shaped stand is set on 4 cushion form feet, with pierced openwork gallery border with a wonderful gadrooned top border. This is a wonderful desk ornament that is certain an element of distinction to your work space.

Condition: There is a large chipped and broken section to one of the square form cut glass inkwells. Fortunately, the break is to one of the bottom corners so although present is concealed when in it's fitted containment area. There is other wear to the stand such as the loss of patina and oxidization to the stand itself. See lot images for more detailed images. Even with the wear which is commensurate with age and use, the ink stand and it's parts present well and would present evern better with an easy polish!
