Item Description
A stunning and large cloisonne censor in tall vase form, displaying a domed lid topped with a seated foo dog-like animal with a long, scrolled muzzle with one paw resting atop a pierced sphere over a pierced swirling cloud base. The cylindrical lid is elongated by a raised neck over a rotund apple shape body that tapers to a banded waist over tripod figural legs before finishing on a flared circular base pierced at the center. The body is flanked by foo dog handles, and is beautifully textured with geometric lattices overlaid with floral sprays enameled in richly hued blue, red, yellow, and green around dragon and bird motifs.
Condition: Displays well with expected wear commensurate with age including enamel pitting, surface scratches, scuffs, and minor tarnishing. The bottom of the interior vessel is partially detached, but does not affect outward appearance. Please review the pictures as they are part of the condition report.
