Smith & Wesson "No 2" 1865 production Army revolver with original manufacturer's case. Six shot .32 caliber rimshot revolver having manufacturer's labeling along the barrel, serial numbers under the grip as well as on the cylinder and along interior barrel. Cylinder marked with the April 15, 1855, July 5, 1859 & December 18, 1860 patent dates. Original case with Smith and Wesson logo on front in relief and opens to reveal a velvet lined interior and fitted compartment for bullets.
Expected signs of wear wear including some pitting along barrel and loss to plating. Case complete but with heavy cracking to top as indicate in photographs, interior with ink inscription and carved initials on underside.
Gun measures 7 1/4" l.
