Handcrafted figural pottery vessel by Peruvian artist Jose Sosa, dated 2002. The vessel is formed with a sculptural human head and neck rising above a rounded body, featuring stylized facial features and incised geometric decoration encircling the shoulder. Finished in a rich, dark brown burnished surface, the form reflects traditional Andean-inspired design with a contemporary sculptural interpretation. The underside bears a hand-incised signature reading “Jose Sosa 2002 – Los Naranjos” and retains a paper label marked “Made in Peru.” A striking decorative work suitable for display as a sculptural vessel.
