A bit of NY history with a 1878 view of Maiden Lane at South Street By John Stobart. This is a signed and numbered (16/350) limited edition print by John Stobart. Reproduced from a painting unveiled by Stobart at the 1988 Artist's of America exhibition in Denver Colorado. You can feel the scene from a bygone era with gas lamps, cobblestone streets and horse-drawn wagons. This "Square-Rigger edition ," is framed with an authentic maritime artifact. Expertly framed with a double matt, in a frame that mixes both black and gilt trim. The red edge of the matt added a lot to the piece.
