Item Description
Seymour Rosenthal was a 20th century Impressionist style artist with a focus on Judaica. Born and raised in the Bronx, during the Great Depression, Rosenthal began his self taught artistic career from an early age.
The work depicts two Jewish men, wearing their kippah, seated at a bench studying. A candlestick with candle rests in front of the two men.
Pencil signed lower right, pencil numbered '4/200', and titled "Studying the Talmud" in the lower center.
Together with a Certificate of Authenticity certifying the work as a lithograph by Rosenthal. Signed J. Barton, Pres.
Presented in a silver paint finished wood frame and glazed.
Sight: 16 1/2"h x 21 1/2"w
Frame: 17 1/2 x 22 3/8"W
Condition: There is some wear and scuffing to the paper around the trim. Overall the work presents handsomely.
