Seth Thomas mid-19th century Federal style weight-driven mantle clock displaying an attractive brown wood veneer with warm undertones. A simple, mitered straight frame borders an elegantly curved bevel, leading to a double-paned glass door decorated with a floral spray on the lower pane. The square dial is tole cream with dainty pink petals surrounding black Roman numerals. The pierced center allows a look at the brass movement, the maker's mark at the center. The door opens to display a Seth Thomas paper label with directions for setting the clock.
Condition: Displays well with expected wear commensurate with age. Surface scratches, scuffs, nicks, and scattered veneer loss around the edges. Wear to the floral spray on the glass pane. Discoloration and finish loss to the dial. Wear to the paper label as seen in pictures. Two weights are included; the pendulum is not included. The movement has not been tested.
Dimensions: 25" H x 15 1/4" W x 4 1/4" D
Dial ss: 7 3/4" x 7 3/4"
