Set of two antique oil on copper paintings depicting Religious subject matter. The first painting depicts a well dressed man holding a thorny crown, presented with a gilt halo around his head. The figure is presented deem in contemplation of the thorny crown while two cherubs are portrayed on the ground looking upwards. One of the cherubs is hiding underneath the figures red cloak, while the second cherub with wings depicted is holding a gilt crown. The words "S. Luiz Rey de Francia." can be seen in the lower right corner.
The second painting depicts an image of the Virgin Mary hovering above a table with green table cloth which has an open book, a skull alluding to mortality, along with an image of a sculpture depicting Christ on the Cross. In front of the table is a Franciscan monk in friar's cloak presented kneeling with his hands crossed. Behind him is a cherub in flight holding a gilt crown and above is an image of a dove representing peace along with two cherubs to the upper right corner. The words "S. Lois Gonsaga." is written in the center bottom.
Both paintings are presented framed in finished wood frames.
