An impressive, decorative pair of of Chinese export style, famille verte enameled porcelain candlesticks.
The pair are pierced underfoot and could be considered jardinieres or with a plug underneath vases.
The pair are decorated in the Famille Verte enameled scheme which was at its height during the Kangxi Imperial reign during the 17th century. Famille verte is dominiated by the green hues but makes use of colors such as blue, and yellow in conjunction with green.
Standing on rectangular plinths columnar vases rise upward with bulbous sections to the cylindrical form. A pair of dogs flank each stick with their front paws raised onto the vase and hind legs planted on the ground.
A label underfoot denotes the pair were made in Beijing and retailed by Dun Huang.

Condition: Good with minor wear to the enameled finish. There is sa hairline chip to one mouth rim and nic to the same mouth rim. Despite wear the pair presents well.
