A nice weighty 1887 Victoria D.G. Antique coin pin. St. George slaying a dragon to the front and a bust wearing a crown to the reverse with reeded edge. Only produced from 1887 - 1892. 1887 to mark the 50th anniversary of Queen Victorias reign. The large silver crown was struck for just six years while the smaller silver double florin was struck for just three years from 1887 - 1890 marking them among the shortest-lived British denominations in history. Antique c-clasp closure to back.
