Sam Vokey is an oil painter who specializes in landscapes and still lives, successful for more than 25 years, elected member of "The Guild of Boston Artists", has had many one-man and group showings at different galleries, the recipient of many prestigious awards including the John Singleton Copley Award. His paintings have been included in many books and magazines including covers. His paintings can be found in numerous corporate and private collections.
This oil on canvas depicting a set breakfast table with a blue-trimmed cereal bowl, a spoon laying against the rim, a green apple nestled into the yellow and white napkin, a clear glass footed bowl with colorful fruit, a nearly full juice pitcher beneath the tropical foliage. The open window gives the view a glimpse of two figures walking along the sandy shore against the blue waters and blue sky.
Presented in a lavish gilt frame.
