Item Description
This lovely Russian oil on canvas painting depicts a still life. The classical motif has been painted throughout the ages in a variety of styles.
This painting depicts a wooden table with a checkered table cloth draped over with a number of objects dispersed throughout. There are a pair of small blue and white bowls along with a larger polychromed centerpiece bowl with a bounty of fruit held within. There are two apples set on the table and a teapot off to the far right. Tehre is a statue of a horse standing tall next to a green pouring vessel in front of a ceramic charger dish set on a dish stand. The tallest object on the table is the candlestick with lit candle placed atop. The background is an abstracted one that displays the talent of the artist by making the table and objects the focal point.
The painting is signed to the lower right corner and there is writing on reverse of canvas. The canvas is also dated on reverse 1998.
Presented in a carved wood frame.

Condition: There is a small area toward the upper right where the color of the canvas is slightly discolored but overall the canvas presents nicely.
