Robin Denevan (American) tryptich with oil and resin on panels and depicts a wonderful image of a windy river cutting through the landscape. The tryptich of paintings is titled "River Paths II" and was produced in 2009.
Denevan is a California artist, born in San Francisco. Denevan's work "is an exploration of the relationships and dualities of atmosphere and form. These paintings focus on a pause between extremes, a place where the imagery is continuous and rythmic, a forest grove, a river's shore, a jungle canopy."
The works were produced following an extensive trip where the artist made his way through parts of Asia and Latin America.
Denevan's paintings make use of materials including beeswax, oil and natural resins, and blend the realist world with a sense of abstraction.
