Robert Kipniss is an American artist born in Brooklyn, New York in 1931. Kipniss is an award winning American artist whom primarily works as a painter and printmaker.
Kipniss is an elected member of the National Academy of Design in New York with works that can be found in more than 80 international museums and other institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Detroit Insitute of Arts, the Art Institute of Chicago, Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts, Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Whitney Museum of American Art, Victoria and Albert Museum, London amongst others.
Kipniss prolifically produced paintings and prints for more than 50 years and is known for depicting elegant imagery including a scene like the current work being offered. The image depicted presents the viewer as being indoors, gazing outside through a window with a house plant in the direct near ground.
The scene is stoic and lovely to gaze upon.
