This wonderful oil on canvas painting by Australian artist Robert Hagen (1947 - ) is signed and depicts two boys following two white ducks just feet away. The scene is being played out in a low marsh with ankle deep water and taller grasses off in the background.
The artist's handling of light and shadow is fantastic and the painting appears as if it could have been painted en plein air.
The work is inscribed on the back with a note from the artist to a collector signed and dated 'Robert / 1991'
Presented in a gilt painted frame.
