This Robert Benchley memorabilia is comprised of a photographic image of the American humorist, together with an autographed slab presented on a wonderfully decorated geometric matt and framed and glazed.
Robert Charles Benchley (September 15, 1889 – November 21, 1945) was an American humorist best known for his work as a newspaper columnist and film actor. Having begun at The Harvard Lampoon while attending Harvard University, Benchley wrote many essays and articles for publications including Vanity Fair, The New Yorker along with his well acclaimed short films.
Benchley won Best Short Subject at the 1935 Academy Awards along with many memorable appearances acting in films for the likes of iconic producers including Alfred Hitchcock's 1940 film 'Foreign Correspondent'
