Richard Sparks (American-Dutch, b. 1944) oil painting on board depicting a pastoral scene with a lone cow wading in a calm pond reflecting the the dappled light a pale blue clouded sky filtering through the impressive foliage of a nearby tree. Signed lower left.
Presented in a gilt frame with linen liner.

About the Artist:
Richard Sparks is an American-born artist known for painting and illustration. He studied Architecture Design from Texas A&M University and received a full scholarship for the Art Center College of Design in California, where he studied Fine Arts in Illustration. After marrying fellow graduate Barbara Sparks, the couple moved to Amsterdam as freelance illustrators. Sparks's portraits have been featured on the cover of TIME magazine, and his work has been exhibited across Boston, New York City, Ohio, and Texas.
