Item Description
A fantastic fifteen piece 19th century sterling silver desk set. Includes several pieces needed for the avid letter writer. All items are accented by a beaded sterling border as well as the F & B hallmark and sterling. Includes a tray with prongs to hold the letter opener, a lidded capsule for ink with curled handle, a paper weight, an ink holder with faceted glass bottom, a paste holder with brush, a wax seal stamp, a tray with mounted point with curled top to presumably melt wax, candle holder, and miniature glass box with silver top, an ink blotter, wax case ring, two clips, and a calendar. Calendar pages are marked Baldwin & Gleason Co, Ltd. NY, Cal # 70, copyrighted 1893.
