Paul Marigny (French, 1922-1998) Portrait of woman in blue with bird. She is dressed in high fashion in her blue gown with ruffles, rose in her hair, as she is gazing to the side with her hand raised holding the perched black bird. Her neck super exaggerated which was a signature style for the School of Paris artist. A lovely sunset background, pink hues engulf her. Signed Marigny bottom right corner in black. Framed beneath glass in a handsome hand carved gilt frame.
Condition: In good overall condition with expected signs of age. Markings, scuffs, and losses to frame, water damage to textile trim, and back could be reinforced.
