Delightful pair of hand-painted German porcelain figurines depicting a flower seller couple in colorful 18th-century-inspired attire. The female figure carries a basket of flowers while the male companion balances a flower-filled basket upon his shoulder. Both stand atop naturalistic bases with gilt-decorated borders and finely detailed floral embellishments.
Expertly modeled with expressive faces, vibrant enamels, and abundant applied flowers, these decorative figures exemplify the romantic pastoral scenes popular among German porcelain makers of the early 20th century. The underside bears blue factory marks and impressed model numbers.
