A pair of charming vintage lamps. The first is a stack of railway chests in the style of early 20th Century Hudson Scott, featuring three leather-patterned black chests with painted raised brown and red straps, with painted details of rivets, leather stitching, and buckles, finished with gilt accents for the hardware. Accompanied by a cut-corner rectangular shade in matching leather-patterned black with gilt rivet accents and a decorative gilt finial at the top.
The next lamp features a white buck laying down, with impressive horns circling the top of its head. The buck lies on a warm-toned rectangular wood base with wonderful grain detailing. Accompanied by a tapered rectangular shade with vellum-styled texture in semi-opaque yellowed beige, attached to the framework by green stitching, and finished at the top with a striking red sphere encased in a pierced teardrop setting.
Condition: Both pieces display well with minor wear commensurate with age and good use. The buck has scattered chips and surface losses around the ears, with an area of repair evident at the back hoof. The chests have light surface scratches and wear around the edges. The shade for the buck lamp has a slight dent. Lamps have not been tested.
Dimensions:
Chest lamp: 19 1/2" H (27" with shade) x 8 3/4" W x 7 1/4" D
Buck lamp: 12 1/2" H (22" with shade) x 12" W x 7 1/2" D
