A great pair of antique Delft ceramic vases. The taller vase comes in baluster form, with a raised, circular rim over an apple-shaped body that tapers to a flat foot; decorated with a scene of architecture surrounded by flowers and foliage. The shorter vase features a hexagonal faceted form with a geometric, gently flared rim beautifully contrasting a rounded body with a bun knop above a hexagonal base; decorated at the front with ornate floral sprays at at the back with a simple leafy branch. The shorter vase is marked with a De Klaauw on the underside.
Condition: Beautiful and nicely-aged with commensurate wear including chipped glaze wear around the rims, minor discoloration, and minor hairlines. A spot of chipped loss to the underside of the taller vase that does not significantly affect outward appearance.
