Item Description
Ca. 18th c. A fine pair of Antique Angel figures in flying poses, possibly part of an altar complex. In dark stained wood, each constructed in several pieces, with drapery falling over the shoulders. They raise one leg with bent knee and one arm up to the sky, while looking outward. Perhaps originally from a church altar piece. Loops for attachment on the backs.

Condition: both with expected signs of age including worm holes, losses to fingers and toes, chips to drapery edges, open joinery on both backs, all mentioned for accuracy as the Pair present exceptionally well.
