Item Description
Pair of 19th century oak canework chairs. Acorn carved crest rail over relief dog and horsehead together with leaf carved cane back panel. Ring turned and carved uprights, inset cane seat with projecting oak edge. Ornately carved and shaped front legs with a pierced and carved stretcher, blocked and slightly raked back legs with ring turned stretcher.
Condition: Breakage to cane, loss, wear and scratching consistent with age and use which adds to the wonderful patina and old world character of this pair.
