This decorative reproduction nautical print which has been wonderfully framed and glazed was printed after the famous Josep Pineda Guerra tempera on paper painting, titled "Barquetine Panchito, captained by Cosme Calzada" painted in 1879 and resides at the Museu Maritim de Barcelona.
This print and the original painting, according to the Museu Maratim de Barcelona's website, depicts the "barquetine or schooner barque Panchito, in full sail, viewed from the starboard side. Several international signal code flags can be seen on the foremast, while the mainmast bears the Spanish flag and the Palamos registration. The ship was built at St. Feliu de Guixols in 1866 by Josep Bosch, on commission from the pilot and captain Juan Cosme Calzada i Pons, and it is registered at Palamos. Its total tonnage was 227 tn. On 22nd September 1890 the vessel was wreched on the Bermuda coast."
Presented matted and framed in a carved and gilt wood frame and glazed.

Condition: Light surface scratches and very minor losses to the gilt finish on frame but overall in good condition and presents very well!
