A parcel gilt double pinecone finial adorned a high-domed lid with trims of ornate gilt patterns surrounding the rim matching the rim of the underplate and the foot of the tureen. The tureen sports an oval form with twin bracket handles, decorated with a vibrant yellow, green, and brown bird perched on a branch surrounded by sprigs with small blue berries. Marked underfoot.
