Monumental 8' 19th century mahogany tall case clock. With a large hood accented in garland relief carvings and finials with an inset paneled glass door that reveals a silver and goldtone clock face below a hand painted day and night scenes depending on the time. The slender rectangular body has a centralized glass paneled door that is flanked with taper carved columns adding to the overall elegance. Below, the square base with finial accents in the four corners. Lacking pendulum. Lacking case key. Includes two weights and crank. Unknown working condition.
Overall good condition but can use some TLC. Two finials along the base detached but included. Glue block in back left top corner of base appears missing. Some scattered checks and minor scratches that can be easily addressed with corrective polish. A lovely piece.
