A Rare & Very Large Original Mural Painting on Canvas By Milton Glaser (American, 1929 -2020) | Elephant & Trainer
Measures: 94 inches diameter
Signed "Milton Glaser" lower right of center

Condition: Stretcher Frame is broken and cracks in multiple areas and needs repair. The canvas has tears along where cracks to stretcher are upper left hand side and lower right - canvas is in need of repair. There are marks and soiling to it the canvas.
An original Painting of Elephant and Trainer by the iconic American artist and graphic designer, Milton Glaser.
Provenance:
Sirio Maccioni via Adam Tihany commissioned 12 original mural works by Milton Glaser for their Mexico City Restaurant. The paintings were then brought back to New York and hung in Osteria del Circo until its close in 2017.
Each painting is signed and they are numbered 1-12 for the series created for Sirio Maccioni and Le Cirque by Glaser.
The original proof drawings for the final paintings are archived with The School of Visual Arts in New York City,
