Murano mid century Bird of Paradise Italian art glass sculpture with a perched bird hand-blown using the Sommerso technique, which involves layering different colors of glass. The crest, beak, feet and perch features clear glass with gold flecks (aventurine). The bird is signed on verso and appears to be Areida but the work is attributed to Alfredo Barbini.
Dimensions: 5" W x 5 1/2" D x 14 1/4" H
