About the Artist:
Frederick "Maxfield" Parrish was an American painter and illustrated known for vibrant, saturated hues and whimsical neoclassical subjects. He was born to painter and etcher Stephen Parris and raised in a Quaker society. He studied at Haverford College, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and Drexel Institute of Art, Science & Industry, along with touring England, Italy, and France. Parrish produced almost 900 works of art across his career, shaping the Golden Age of illustration and visual art in America during the 20th century.
Condition
Both with heavy wear to the frames including losses to the painted finish. One needs to be reframed as it is coming out of the frame.
