Item Description
A marvelous oil on canvas painting depicting a harbor landscape. It is presumed to be the harbor of Hong Kong.
The painting is painted in an Impressionist manner with layers of impasto throughout lending depth and intrigue to the canvas and painted image.
Tall green mountains in the distance, a city with buildings along the coast. The architecture depicts a grouping of buildings of varied size and color.
The harbor which has been painted marvelously with small white caps and hues of blue lending movement to the water in the near ground. Numerous boats and ferries of varied size and shape can be seen within the harbor.
Signed with a red seal chop mark to the lower left corner.
Presented with a filet within a magnificently carved and gilt finished frame with a scalloped trim.

Frame: 19 1/4"h x 29 3/4"w
Condition: There is craquelure to the paint commensurate with some age and level of impasto. Despite any wear the painting presents fabulously.
