Marilyn Fairman, an contemporary American painter. Her ouevre consists of works, similar to this current example, and portray stylistic influences from earlier painting styles including the Hudson River School painters and the Impressionist movement. Fairman's work is very much in the Plein Air style and includes many wonderful open and airy landscapes.
The current painting, which the artist has titled on verso to stretcher, "Tree In Morning Lite" depicts a tree seen to the near left hand side foreground with a wonderful landscape in the background. Whispy clouds dominate the sky but the figure less landscape is serene and wonderful.
Signed in canvas, to the lower right corner and signed and titled on verso to stretcher.
Presented in a wonderful carved and gilt wood frame.

Condition: There is some crackle and wear to the gilt frame but overall adds to the aged presentation and makes this contemporary work shine.
