Marie Laurencin (French, 1883-1956) was a French artist whom became a prominent figure in Paris during the late 19th century into the 20th century interacting with members whom had taken interest in Cubism.
The current work depicts a female bust in side profile with swashes of brilliant color.
Signed and dated 1950.
Presented in an extremely elegant gilt frame with nice matting and glaze.
Condition: Foxed spots, chips and losses to frame. Wear commensurate with age and display but overall presents nicely. See lot images as they are considered part of the condition report.
