Item Description

An excellent Louis XV style writing desk in honeyed light brown walnut with darker brown banded edges adding great contrast and texture. The table features a long rectangular tabletop inlaid with a leather center and tooled with three panels, leading to a banded edge with cookie corners and a gently recessed bracketed center front. The case features a long central drawer and two short drawer, each adorned with elegant handles on foliate plaques. Raised on intentionally distressed cabriole legs.

Accompanied by a fabulous accent chair with a camel back, armless sides, and a serpentine seat front. Upholstered in fine beige and brown houndstooth and finished with a skirt concealing the legs beneath.

Condition

Very Good condition with no obvious signs of wear. It look like it came out of a showroom. This bed room was never used. The home served as a second home for 20 years. There were no children, no pets, UV-protected windows, and a strict no-shoes policy.
