About the Artist:
Louis L. Bergmann was an Austrian born American artist, writer, and medical teacher. He studied as a doctor at the University of Vienna and spent a year in China developing a medical program for Chiang Kai-Shek. Afterwards, he emigrated to the United States where he studied at the New York University Medical School and New York Medical College. Beyond his passion in the medical field. Bergmann was also a skilled alpinist and skier, influencing his art.
