Louis Agassiz Fuertes (American, 1827-1924) Large collection miniature lithographs, “Useful Birds of America”, Tenth Series, including [14] framed. Produced by Church & Dwight in 1938 as advertising cards for their product Arm & Hammer soda. On one side of the card features the bird in its natural habitat with its name above and copyright lower left, plate signed by artist lower right. On the opposite side, it features the No. and context behind the bird, sponsored ad above the bio below. At the end, each one states, “For the Good of All, Do Not Destroy the Birds.” ‘Litho. USA’ printed in lower right. [14] are framed in simplistic black table top frames.
Condition: In overall good condition with expected signs of age and wear including some toning and fading but in all, a well preserved collection. Includes copies of several kinds of birds.
