Item Description
This lovely lot of 4 decorative Chinese glazed ceramic wares includes a variety of glazes and forms, including:
1. A 19th century crackle glazed tea cup. With a wonderful crackled glaze on a light hued ground, . 2 1/2"H. Condition: There are numerous cracks and splits to the glaze and ceramic body issuing from the rim down through the lower body.
2. A crackle glazed beehive formed water coupe. This lovely water coupe would have been used as a water pot to dip the calligraphy brush. The scholarly object presents very well and is certain stun wherever placed.
3 1/4"Diam. Condition: Good overall with only minor surface scratches and scuffing but presents nicely overall.
3. A Song Dynasty Style, brown glazed ceramic teabowl. Standing on a circular foot the earth toned ceramic body can be seen with the thickly applied glaze running all over the top and down the sides to just above the foot ring. 4 3/4"Diam. Condition: There are two chips to the glaze which can be seen on the exterior of the body.
4. A glazed footed dish with upturned rim. The glazed ceramic wear with a thick sky blue hue running over the dish too and underside stopping short of the foot rim which is left Unglazed. 6 1/2"Diam. Condition: There is a crack which runs through the glaze and body and can be seen on both the top and underside. The crack spans from the rim to the center of the dish roughly 3”.
